August's Surprise

The artwork August's Surprise, is a textured abstract painting featuring horizontal stripes in vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow. The texture adds depth to the bold colors, creating a dynamic visual effect that captures attention.

My inspiration: With soft focused eyes, I looked out from my studio through the mostly open venetian blinds. Noticing how we still piece together the beauty beyond the filter of the blinds.

This art piece is created acrylic paint and textured spray on encaustic board. The complementary colors in the horizontal band create a separate yet connected pattern. In the upper left quadrant of the painting a vertical band of gold ism slicing through the orange, red and yellow tones to emerge into view.

A petite work at 5"x7" this piece some framed in a wood frame.
